Biography:
He was born on May 1, 1990 in Delta State. Okpako started his career in 2003 as youth player with Bendel United and later played for their senior team.

He signed for Nigeria Premier League (NPL) club, Kano Pillars in January 2006 and played a big role as a midfielder in Pillars first-ever league title win in 2007/2008 season.

The midfielder left Kano Pillars and signed for Greek side, Panionios. But he made just three appearances before moving to PSL giants, Mamelodi Sundowns this year.

Okpako was called up to the Nigeria Under20 team but did not make the cut to the 2009 FIFA Under20 World Championship in Egypt under Samson Siasia. He was part of the Super Eagles team of local-based players that won the 2010 Wafu Cup in Abeokuta and that led to Lars Lagerback extending a call to him to train with the men’s team before the 2010 Fifa World Cup in South Africa.
